Special Services of Worship
We are very happy to invite you to come along and join in with any of our church services. Our usual Sunday services are held at 9.45am at Fossoway Church and at 11.15am at Cleish Church. In addition we have many other worship services that you may like to come to.
Special Celebration Services in the Christian Calendar
At Cleish and Fossoway Churches we both have Worship Groups that help to plan and conduct special services of worship each year. These services usually occur to celebrate special celebrations in the Christian calendar such as the Christmas Nativity service, the Palm Sunday service, the Pentecost Sunday service and the Harvest Thanksgiving service. We encourage people of all ages to come to these services and particularly enjoy welcoming some of our younger folks.
Fossoway Additional Special Services
At Fossoway Church we usually have an evening Summer Songs of Praise in August.
We also have some special Christmas services and celebrations:
Community Carol singing usually on the first Saturday in Dec which follows on after our Christmas Bazaar.
A Sing-a-longa Christmas service with all kind of carols and Christmas songs and much needed refreshments in the interval.
A family Christmas Eve service at 5pm on 24th Dec. This is always very well attended and has lots of different Christmas stories/activities/crafts for our young people to enjoy.
Every second year we have a Christmas pantomime.
Service of Remembering
We know that Christmas time can be a particularly poignant time of the year for those who have lost loved ones and every year we hold a Service of Remembering at 3pm on the first Sunday in December. This offers folks a quiet time of reflection and prayer to remember our lost loves ones before the busy Christmas season begins.
This service is a joint churches service and alternates each year between the two church buildings.
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
Both Churches have a special midnight service that starts at 11.15pm on Christmas Eve.
Both Churches always have a special family Christmas Day Service. This usually lasts about half an hour. Fossoway service begins at 9.45am and Cleish at 11.15am.
You are encouraged to bring along a present to share, no matter how old you are.
